What I think about sagging pants!
I personally believe the style of dress is appropriate depending the setting of where it comes from. For example, If your in the projects I assume it would be allowed to sag your pants. The style is also part of many African-Americans culture. Many people of color where raised with Hand-Me-Down clothing. Many people who disagree with the style complain and say it is a negative self image in society.
Plies A Supporter Of Pants-Sagging
Plies, a rapper from Florida, defended his rights to wear his jeans below the waistline. Many rappers tent not to advocate these fashion statements because they know negative stereotypes will be reflected upon them. Plies wrote the song "Pants Hang Low" in response to laws that ban pants sagging across the country. He also wants to send a message to all black communities that pant-sagging is a cultural statement and the media should not stereotype this fashion as a negative image.

Where Did Pant Sagging Come From?
It is said that the style of saying pants generated within the prison system. The trend was brought into prisons, where oversized uniforms were issued without belts to prevent suicide and their use as weapons. This style spread through rappers and music videos from the ghetto to the suburbs and around the world. It has also been publicly televised and even looked upon as an acceptable way to dress in rap/pop culture.
Pant Sagging
Today people sag their pants and encounter increased negative stereotypes. Some Africans-Americans see this style of dress as being part of their culture. Others assume sagging pants promotes a negative self-image. Those who sag their pants today face the chances of beging fined or put into jail. You may notice this style among many well know artist such as Lil Wayne, Bow Wow, Soulja Boy, and many more. This style of fashion has influenced people around the country to dress in this trend of style.
