Plies A Supporter Of Pants-Sagging

Plies, a rapper from Florida, defended his rights to wear his jeans below the waistline. Many rappers tent not to advocate these fashion statements because they know negative stereotypes will be reflected upon them. Plies wrote the song "Pants Hang Low" in response to laws that ban pants sagging across the country. He also wants to send a message to all black communities that pant-sagging is a cultural statement and the media should not stereotype this fashion as a negative image.

  1. While laws may seem insignificant, Plies sees the bigger picture. "Pants Hang Low" is a statement record from a cultural standpoint. Plies said, "It means a lot to me because I understand who I am speaking for. He knows the legal system of ticketing people has gone has gone out of control and what's to put a stop to it.
